Lawn Care: Estate Package

Our Estate Plan includes 47 visits per year by our landscape professionals. We provide horticultural services – including turf, tree and shrub care—as well as mowing services.The Estate Package includes following tasks each month. Note that items in italics are recommended or optional; prices are quoted separately.

January

Service Visit (Bi-weekly)
– Mow lawn areas
– Bed maintenance, remove weeds, apply herbicide as needed
– Edge along bed lines to maintain definition
– String trim around objects in lawn areas
– General cleanup & small debris removal
– Blow off walks, drive and hard surfaces
Cutting back grasses, pruning small shrubs
Apply deer repellent. Recommended mulching.

February

Service Visit* (Bi-weekly)
Regenerative pruning on crepe myrtles and evergreen shrubs
Application of horticulture oils (to help prevent infestation of insects and mites)
Liriope trimming and fertilizing
Early spring fertilization and weed control for turf
Recommended mulching. Apply deer repellent. Cut back rose shrubs.

March

Service Visit (Weekly)
Lawn fertilization
Pre-emergent herbicides for annual weed control
Selective pruning on Japanese maples
Spring walk-through and planning with Client Relations Manager
Apply deer repellent.

April

Service Visit (Weekly)
Post and pre-emergent weed control for turf
Fertilize perennials & ornamental grasses. Apply deer repellent. Spray weeds in naturalized areas, remove small limbs. Irrigation start up.

May

Service Visit (Weekly)
Selective pruning to encourage healthy plant growth
Application of a systemic insecticide to help prevent beetle infestation
Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Begin treatment for brown patch on fescue turf. Installation of summer annuals. Apply deer repellent.

June

Service Visit (Weekly)
Early summer fertilization with weed control for turf
Apply turf fungicide. Lawn aeration for warm season turf grasses. Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Irrigation walk-through. Irrigation monitoring.

July

Service Visit (Weekly)
Thinning of trees and shrubs
Fertilize perennials. Apply turf fungicide. Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Recommended summer pine straw replenishment. Apply deer repellent. Spray weeds in naturalized areas, remove small limbs. Irrigation monitoring.

August

Soil sampling
Summer lime application with weed control for turf
Apply turf fungicide. Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Apply deer repellent. Irrigation monitoring.

September

Service Visit (Weekly)
Bed preparation for winter annuals
Aeration and seeding of fescue lawns. Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Apply deer repellent. Spray weeds in naturalized areas, remove small limbs. Irrigation monitoring.

October

Service Visit (Weekly)
Early fall fertilization for turf
Insect and disease control for plans and shrubs
Fall walk-through and planning with Client Relations Manager
Selective pruning of perennials/ornamental grasses to remove declining flowers. Begin fall leaf clean-up. Apply deer repellent. Installation of winter annuals.

November

Service Visit (3 visits this month)
Fertilization of plants and shrubs
Prune perennials/ornamental grasses to the ground, apply layer of mulch for protection. Fall leaf clean-up. Apply deer repellent. Winterizing of irrigation system.

December

Service Visit (Bi-weekly)
Winter fertilizer application with weed control for turf
Fall leaf clean-up. Mulching recommended. Apply deer repellent
